A major multinational pharmaceutical company with +10 billion EUR yearly revenue, at the forefront of healthcare innovation sought to leverage cutting-edge digital solutions to combat chronic diseases and improve the well-being of individuals.

Challenge

The client saw opportunities to integrate large language models (LLMs) and GenAI into their operations for more effectively enhancing patient outcomes. Pressures from the rapid technological progress of AI created a need for accelerating internal readiness to avoid technological obsolescence and lost market opportunities. Netlight was engaged to take strategic action, teaming up with the client to set and execute on an innovative vision and transformation program.

Solution

Netlight led a strategic effort of co-creation together with the client, leveraging our technological leadership in AI as well as deep domain experience within the MedTech. This revolutionised the client's approach to GenAI, overcoming initial resistance and establishing an innovative AI Lab along with a unified infrastructure as central components for spearheading broader adoption. Two game-changing products were launched: an internal chatbot and an LLM API, both compliant and tailored for the unique business context. These solutions have positioned the client at the forefront of AI innovation, driving significant business value and operational improvements despite challenges in compliance and infrastructure.
