Schwarz Digits, with its cloud provider STACKIT, and Netlight, an international digital consultancy, announce the formation of the Quantum Industry Community, a carefully curated community of European enterprises. This initiative is dedicated to exploring practical quantum computing, building real-world business use cases and claiming advantage in the defining technology race of the next decade.
For years, quantum computing has been positioned as the next great technological frontier. Yet, enterprise leaders face a genuine challenge: while university research abounds and startups are rapidly innovating, there is a need for dedicated forums for quantum experts to explore quantum computing with peers who understand real business impact and accelerate quantum adoption. Schwarz Digits and Netlight are now addressing this gap.
The Quantum Industry Community unites organisations that are actively preparing for the quantum era, not in research labs, but across operations, logistics, financial services and industrial transformation.
“The companies leading the next decade are building quantum literacy now. Working with leading enterprises across Europe on their most complex digital challenges, we see quantum rising to the top of the agenda. The Quantum Industry Community creates the space to do that with peers, grounded in real business challenges, not technology for its own sake,” said Felix Sprick, Managing Director at Netlight GmbH.
The founding cohort comprises leading organisations from financial services, pharmaceuticals, mobility, and industrial manufacturing, each with dedicated quantum teams and genuine appetite to move beyond proofs of concept.
Quantum adoption is accelerating and the window is now. Hardware is becoming more capable. Use cases are moving from theory to practice. Organisations that build quantum capability now will gain asymmetric advantage while those who wait will inherit decisions made elsewhere.
For European enterprises, the stakes are higher. Building quantum capability independently through industry collaboration and shared learning ensures European enterprises remain drivers of their own quantum future, not followers of external timelines.
Unlike academic or vendor-driven initiatives, the Quantum Industry Community focuses on use cases where quantum advantage is emerging in the next three to five years, including optimisation problems in logistics and supply chain, risk modelling in financial services, and process automation in industrial manufacturing. Members share experience, exchange methodologies, and contribute to co-authored findings.
"Schwarz Digits with its cloud provider STACKIT is committed to build the sovereign cloud infrastructure that European enterprises will rely on, including quantum computing capabilities. This community gives our customers a head start in a significant technology shift. By collaborating now, founding members will help shape the quantum roadmap for European industry," said Mark Brinkmann, Head of Data, AI & Quantum Computing at STACKIT.
The founding cohort gathers for their first session in October 2026 to kick off collaborative work on practical quantum applications. Membership is invitation only and limited to organisations with dedicated quantum teams and active use-case exploration underway.
