A major German retailer partnered with Netlight to accelerate its transition into a digital platform business by building a scalable in-house Sponsored Product Ads (SPA) system.

Replacing a third-party tool, the goal was to gain control, reduce revenue sharing, and support both self-service and managed-service use cases—ready for peak seasons like Black Friday. Netlight collaborated with the client’s SPA team to define and prioritize critical features, delivering an MVP that covered the full ad lifecycle, powered by a custom auction engine.

The platform now supports internal and external advertisers, integrates seamlessly with billing systems, and enables long-term advertising growth.

Europe’s largest online car marketplace partnered with Netlight to launch a digital retail platform enabling customers to buy used cars online in under 10 minutes.

Within six months, the solution had to cover the full purchase journey — from selection and insurance to delivery and returns. Netlight supported from early product discovery through post-launch, structuring four autonomous product teams and defining a scalable MVP using hexagonal architecture. Acting as product managers and IT project leads, we ensured investor alignment and sustainable team structures.

The result: Germany’s first digital used-car retail service, improved customer experience, and fast, focused delivery.
